As I continue to work on refining and developing my book, one of the topics I am addressing is human trafficking. As you see below human trafficking is an estimated 32 billion dollars a year industry with 21 million human beings being trafficked–and 5.5 million are children who are trafficked into pornography, sex slavery, forced marriage,  forced labor, armed services, etc!

This needs to stop!

As I mentioned in a previous post, there are many good individuals taking a stance against this horrific crime against humanity. As followers of Jesus we are called to not turn a blind eye to this atrocity. We are called to make a difference.

So here’s my challenge: What will you do to be a part of stopping this worldwide, #2 top grossing industry from continuing to grow? (Comment Below)

Here are some links to great organizations I know who are doing great work:

1. Stop the Traffick
2. Women of Strength: A mission trip through Amor Ministries focusing on empowering women to take a stance against human trafficking.
3. A short, powerful video from a woman explaining how she was exploited into sex trafficking.
4. American Association of Christian Counselors (The featured image came from a blog post about a book review. The book: Renting Lacy: A Story of America’s Prostituted Children (A Call to Action)

I know there are thousands of other organizations. If you want to recommend some more, leave them in the comment section.

Take a moment to ponder the infograph from Unicef:
